We have put together a list of commonly asked questions, which we have been asked when demonstrating and showing CocoonFMS®.

Question #1: Is CocoonFMS® a Transport Management System (TMS)?

Answer: CocoonFMS® is a Logistics Portal and not a Transport Management System (TMS) in it’s own right but has been built and designed to enhance and improve customer interaction and information flow from your chosen TMS.  As a bolt on portal CocoonFMS allows your TMS to provide your clients with full visibility of their shipments, including documents, Carbon Emissions and much much more.

Question #2 Which Transport Management Systems (TMS)  does CocoonFMS® work with?

Answer: The system can work with and interface with the majority of commonly used TMS systems in the market including Multifreight, Azyra and Cargowise.  If your TMS is capable of sending and receiving messages via API, XML, EDI Fact, XML, CSV  then CocoonFMS can connect to it. 

Question #3How do you get the data to the CocoonFMS®?

Answer: We used structured data, so if your Transport Management System (TMS) can provide a API via XML or JSON we can collect or retrieve the data. We can also use EDI Fact, XML, CSV anything which is structured. 

Question #4 Is it only Freight Forwarders who can use the portal?

Answer: We not only work with 3rd Party Logistics (3pl) companies but can also with any company managing multiple forwarders. If you like 4th Party Logistics (4pl). So if your managing multiple freight forwarders and they can provide data we can manage this so you have a single portal to manage all your supply chain.

Question #5 Can you book shipments via the Portal?

Answer:Yes, if your Transport Management System allows it we can easily send a booking back to the TMS as well as sending a notification to those involved in the system.

Question #6 Is the system scalable?

Answer: Yes we've designed the system to scalable. Its a SaSS based system and we can add extra resource quickly.

Question #7 What do I need to do get CocoonFMS® for my logistics company?

Answer: We just need to know about your TMS, how many shipments roughly you do, any specialisms such as Wine Logistics or Charter etc... (as there may need of some custom functionality), estimated growth over 12 months. 

Question #8 How much does it cost?

Answer: The system is a scalable solution and the implementation and ongoing running / support costs are dependant on a number of factors including number of users, number of shipments handled, number of office, TMS system integration etc. We are confident that CocoonFMS® is very competitive in the market and the functionality will also create efficiencies, productivity gains in your operations. Qurstion #9 Do you support CocoonFMS® globally?

Answer: Yes we have in place a global network support structure covering EMEA, North America, LATAM and Asia

One of the most powerful functions of the portal is reporting. Customers have already stated that this features saves them hours in the week freeing up time to get other tasks done.

Calendar

Gain on overview of when events are happening, useful so you can line up your schedule and anticipate busy times. Filter by departure, arrival, customs and delivery.

Search

The search function allows you to find shipments by practically any record. The technology behind it means results are delivered quickly even if there are 1000's of records to go through.
